We refer to the above mentioned article that appeared in “Financial Daily” on 1 July 2009 and in particular the following sentences which were carried in the said article:-

“Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) may increase 6% to 9% in 2010, said its chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim.”

Announcement Details :

Axiata Group Berhad believes that with improving macroeconomic conditions, encouraging signs of recovery in the telecommunications industry as well as ongoing internal improvements within the Group will result in a better overall performance next year.


However, the numbers quoted are preliminary estimates based on current operating dynamics and forecasted economic conditions. Nonetheless, it remains subject to review due to the uncertainty of current economic conditions.
